If you are interested in volunteering at the MELAW Legal Clinic or would like more information, please send an email. The Legal Clinic continues to offer free 20-minute consultations with lawyers on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month. Approximately 25 lawyers work on a rotating and pro bono basis at the clinic. CARPLS is Cook County`s legal helpline. It is composed of lawyers who can give free legal advice over the phone. If there is legal aid or a pro bono organization that might be able to offer more help, CARPLS lawyers will tell you who else to call.
